If you are coming from out of town to attend Donnie’s Celebration of Life and need a hotel room, we have a group rate at the Holiday Inn Express in WCH. Rooms are $110/night. Today was our first Sunday of 2026 and we were honored to have Leo and Paula Price with us. This new year may have brought us a shock, unexpected grief, etc but we feel the love of our family and friends. Thank you to everyone who came this morning to worship with us. #sotchurch
To give everyone from out of state time to make travel plans and to give the Youngs time to process, we have set an extended date to have a Celebration of Life for Donnie. We are so honored by everyone’s extreme compassion, generosity (meals, flowers, finances, etc.) and prayers. The love everyone has for our Donnie is evident. Please accept this as your invite to come and be a part of this special day with us. Thank you to Pastor John Pfeifer and The Gathering Place Church for your hospitality and use of your facility to give us plenty of room. It is with great sorrow and extreme grief that we announce that Donnie Young Jr. went to Heaven this afternoon at 3:20 pm at Kettering Medical Center from heart failure. Please keep the Youngs in your prayers, we need the Comforter more than ever. We will not have service Sunday. If you’d like to come to the sanctuary to pray, the church will be open at 11am. Please give time for our Pastors and family to process and grieve. All announcements and arrangements will be made at a future time. Please just pray for us.

New Year’s Eve Service was great 🥳 We were blessed to have Hayley Riggins lead worship with the team, we celebrated Pastor Don’s 60 years of ministry and we had Pastor Robert Hooks in all the way from California. Fayette County Kids! We’re hosting a Christmas Food Box Giveaway. This is to help kids during Christmas break that will struggle to have lunch. There’s easy to prepare food in every box. The children MUST be present to receive boxes. We will also have pictures with Santa 🎅🏼 Limited boxes will be available so the first 200 kids will receive them… but everyone can get a picture with Santa! 📸 #sotchurch
