I work in a school and one of the teachers shared a friend's Facebook post with her students. To summarize, the post asked us, if we had $86,400 and someone stole $10 from us, would we throw the whole $86,390 out? Absolutely not. It went on to inform us that there are 86,400 seconds in a day. If we wouldn’t throw out the rest of the money, why would we let 10 seconds out of the day ruin the remaining 86,390 seconds we had left?

I started thinking about this and couldn’t help but praise the Lord for His unfailing love. I let sin steal a lot of time from me. I let it take up a lot of who I was and who I was called to be, but praise the Lord He is a God of restoration! Not only did He start my clock over, He gave me back time! Not in a sense of actually turning back time, but I’m seeing God restore relationships right before my eyes. I’m watching Him put back together what my sin and the sin of others destroyed. I’m watching His love drench my friends and family. I’m experiencing Him placing me right where I was supposed to be all along.

From someone with experience, take it from me; don’t let what was destroy what is and what is meant to be. God can and will restore!! Choose to let the last 86,390 seconds matter!! Even if 86,390 seconds were ruined, God is so big, He can make those last 10 seconds seem to last a lifetime. It’s not too late!
